Hi, I’m Alison! I like art, music, photography and design, and I recently moved to New York City for my job in marketing/tech.
Ever since I made my first dessert from scratch in early high school, I’ve been hooked by baking. There is something scientific and soothing to measuring out ingredients and having them come together into a beautiful, delicious treat that gives joy when shared — a sum far greater than its parts. While I never became a doctor (sorry mom & dad), that love of science has extended beyond the pre-med courses of college and into my life today through experimentation with food and photos. I do a fair share of cooking now since I can’t exactly eat cake for every meal (#adulting), and I use this website to capture all the recipes I’ve tried and some random thoughts that go along with each. Hopefully you find something helpful and also enjoy some of the random photos from travel or simple, mundane moments in between.
